Being in college makes you realize things about yourself..things you like..and things you don't.
I have made a list of 7 Dwarfs in my life. My plan is to do something about them..uh hugh I am creating my own fairytale:D And with that....
Welcome to my adventure in becoming more like my big brother, Jesus! (Yup, that one, the Christ: )
When I meet people that I admire a great deal and just simply feel great being in their presence..I can always find great similarities between them and Christ.
It finally dawned on me that what I admired so much about these people was that they were Christ-like. So naturally:p, instead of attempting to become like them, I am going straight to the source.
Thinking about (credit for this thought goes to a therapist I know:p ) how my spirit is old and wise (yeah..it is; ) and placed in this body, that so easily succumbs to its desires, must be frustrating to my spirit..and it made me look further into how I need to learn to let my Spirit take charge instead of the natural woman in the little, daily doings as well as the big. I promise that will make sense eventually; )
That is my mission objective and this is where I will plan and then report the progress or lack thereof. (Yes, this sentence is themed: ) I know there are going to be struggles that will most definitely humble me and there will be great progress that will bring me great joy but the sadly overused saying is so perfect here I can't resist..'He never said it would be easy, only that it would be worth it.' (I know I may have butchered it..feel free to correct me.)

Thanks for stopping by Apron Appeal. I like what you are setting up here. And in reference to the quote "I never said it would be easy I only said it would be worth it" Perhaps this scripture would be helpful too.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 11:29 & 30
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
BTW I'm a big Jesus fan too.
